These are some pictures that I took at Myrtle Beach last year. We started feeding crackers to the sea gulls and they started flocking in. I think it was a mistake, because we had to move, there were so many of them. I think we'll just watch them next time instead of participating. Please visit A Southern Daydreamer for more outdoor pics.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday Gina! I miss the beach... I would love to be there right now! Thanks for sharing your photos.~ Susan
ReplyDeleteI went to Myrtle Beach only once in 1986 for a Ginnie Thompson needlework seminar. It's so pretty down there! I wish I could have stayed longer. There's so much history and beauty in that area.

I have never seen a sea gull up close.. I would love to be able to be that close and be able to feed them.
ReplyDeleteHI Gina,
ReplyDeleteYou are right about those seagulls...I remember growing up in the bay area - California - we called them the "bay city bombers" ya know what I mean....LOL !
Great pics,
Hugs ~ Kammy

happy outdoor wednesday, thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteLovely birds, Gina! Each beach we've been to the birds swarm to anyone who feeds them so it gets a little scary after a while, but it's fun seeing others throw the food up in the air near the birds. ;-)
ReplyDeleteA good thing goes bad, my hubby did that on a beach in Hawaii once. . .He got some really dirty looks from other people as the birds started moving in, we laugh about it now! Fun pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat special photographs. Than you for sharing them with us. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI knew these were Carolina sea gulls when I first saw them. They have black heads. Our on Lake Michigan have grey heads that match their bodies. I found that so interesting when I was in NC.
ReplyDeleteSeagulls are so entertaining. Thank you for sharing your pictures!

I know what you mean about the swarm of gulls thickening....about 10 years ago while camping in Thunder Bay, CA my ex-husband started feeding the gulls and they swarmed his head like in the movie the birds. He looked up while he was talking and a bird pooped in his mouth! YUK! ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice when birds join in on the fun with you? Not too much though :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday!

Dang seagulls. They are just like pigeons when you start feeding them. I remember being at Sea World in San Diego eating lunch & the seagulls would try to steal peoples food off the table.
ReplyDeleteYour photos bring back my longing for the beach. And I'm now only twenty minutes from the Gulf! Must make time to go. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. I love seagulls and these look so different from the gulls here in CA. But, you're right, once you give them something to eat, the whole family shows up. Just like in "Finding Nemo" - "Mine, mine, mine." :-)
