Under the Crepe Myrtle

I moved my white chairs off the front porch and put them under my crepe myrtle tree out by the driveway. I thought they would be pretty sitting under the tree and to relax in the shade. Boy was I wrong....it's 100 degrees here in the south and no tree has enough shade from the sweltering heat, so for now, they are just for looks!!!! Maybe soon the temps will break and we can enjoy them. Please visit Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for more outdoor pics. I'm also linked with Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

  2. The chairs look very nice there, but I would not use them. If the temperature there is like here, you would cook in them. We have no relief till after the 18th. Enjoyed your blog.

  8. Hi Gina~I live in GA and have to agree with you about the heat. I've set up a couple of seating areas around our home and was just thinking today how sad it is that I can't use them for more than a few minutes. If the heat and humidity doesn't get me the mosquito certainly will!!
I love your chairs...we'll just keep holding out for fall!
    Fondly,

  12. How charming to have the chairs there, it won't be long before you can use them in the evening!

Loved your comment on high heels on my post! When people ask how I can walk in them, I tell them I not only can walk, I can run in them! I also tell them it is a great way to exercise your calves!
