I don't know if this post actually goes along with Metamorphasis Monday, but I guess in my head it does. My son was pushing my sister's son around the yard in the wheelbarrow the other day. When I saw it I had to run get my camera, because it reminded me of me pushing my sister around the yard in the wheelbarrow except it was 30 years ago. Oh my gosh! I can't believe it's been that long! Thank goodness it's not a very good picture or my sister would kill me. It was the 70's, what do you expect. So I guess what I'm trying to say is our sons metamorphasized (is that a word) into us doing the same thing all those years ago. Hi Gina, I love to hear stories about other peoples childhood memories! My sister and I loved being wheeled around by our dad in the wheelbarrow too, but it was alot longer than 30 years ago! I am sure you and your sister were just as beautiful then as you are now, you should show the picture!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you could even get your hands on the older picture! Mine still are in boxes!! So bad!
ReplyDeleteOh Gina, I didn't realize that first picture was you and your sister, you look so young now, both of you, I thought that might have been of someone else... There is no way that was 30 years ago!!! What is your secret to looking so young and pretty???
ReplyDeleteHi Gina !

My husband and his sisters recreate a similar pose every time they get together. It is so fun to see the changes over the years.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun1 We need to all take time to reflect on the past. Thank you for sharing.

The pic so qualifies, Gina! A great one at that too! Sometimes change and time bring around the exact same thing. Wonderful isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGoodness sakes - love it! I have 4 kids and they all had a fascination with sitting in boxes when they were toddlers. I have pics of all of them - it became a tradition! Thank you for sharing.

Oh I know what you mean. My best friend and I saw our daughters playing together on an exercise bike exactly like we did when we were their age. Those are precious moments.
ReplyDeleteGina,
ReplyDeleteHow neat! I think it's a great Met Monday subject!

This is serendipity. You should frame them together. It will remind you to carry on the tradition with the next generation.
