Chicken Stew

Well it's that time of year again, at least here in the South, when the chicken stews start. It HAS to be cold outside for starters. These are the requirements: Giant pot of chicken stew, boxes of crackers, marshmallows to roast and a table big enough outside to seat everyone! We had ours outside at Mama's house recently. She fixed the stew and we provided the crackers and marshmallows. We had so much fun! My son and niece had a marshmallow toss. Evidently, they go further when they are on fire!! Outdoor Wednesday - Anniversary Trip

We recently had our 26th wedding anniversary and took a trip to the mountains. We went to Buck Mountain, which is near Boone, NC. The weather was absolutely beautiful and so was the cabin that we stayed in. We rode 4 wheelers and had a picnic lunch beside a pond. We also found a waterfall that was really beautiful. Later that afternoon, we drove on into Boone and Blowing Rock and shopped and ate supper. We had so much fun that weekend! We are definitely going back!! Dreaming of Dessert

It's been like...forever...since I've posted anything. I don't know what happened! I guess life just got in the way, but anyway I'm back and I'm going to try and keep this blog going. I really miss posting things, because it's really an on-line diary. I can look back over the years and read what I was doing on that particular day.
