This post is funny because Hubby always rolls his eyes, and asks if I have to take the camera everywhere we go? I'm always looking for something to take a picture of for my blog and he knows that. Well, Saturday I had gone shopping and when I got home he said that he had something to show me. He pulled out his camera and he had taken a picture of Sammi the Salamander that lives in the downspout of the house. I said you've known about this thing AND it lives here!! He's named it Sammi because it sits and watches him when he's outside doing yard work. He said that he thought that I would want a picture of it for my blog for Outdoor Wednesday! Can you believe that......just when you think that they never listen to you and they throw a curveball like that. Wasn't that sweet of him? I think I'll keep him....Hubby that is....not the salamander! For more outdoor posts, visit Susan at A Southern Daydreamer.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday Gina! Sounds like he is a "keeper"! Thanks for sharing your photos.~ Susan

I had to smile when I read your post, because I catch my hubby checking out my blog, when he thinks I'm not paying attention! Cute post. . .
ReplyDeleteThat salamander is cool. I don't know anything about them. Do they eat bugs? Your hubby is very nice to think of you and take a picture of his new pet. Your hubby is a keeper! ~~Terrie~~
ReplyDeleteGina, you can keep him longer then. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is one great looking salamander though I would be so creeped out at the same time! ;-) Great post!
My kids love to capture those... I like to look at a distance!
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Indonesia we had a gecko which lived behind the cooker (stove) - we called him Stumpy as he had shed his tail ...
ReplyDeleteI thought maybe you were trying to sell car insurance -- but then I realized it was a salamander -- not a geico. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I have one that likes to sit on our brick too... I think he likes soaking up all the heat from the sun shining on it all day.
ReplyDeleteHi Gina, they look like they are enjoying the sun.
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday.

We must be related because while I was on my trip, we saw the longest worm I've ever laid eyes on and we took a picture of it! Then after Dan the Man picked me up from teh airport, we were driving home and we saw two giant turkey vultures...but you know what? I had my camera! Kodak moment #5,389! Right on!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet, Gina! You are so right about husbands and our blogging. My husband acts indifferent but when I tell him something strange or interesting I learned while blogging, he really gets caught up in it!!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a salamander ever!!! I think Outdoor Wednesday is turning into Ripley's Believe It Or Not!! LOL!!!
xoxo
