I'm participating in the 9th Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch. I've been wanting to change the shelves over my desk in the kitchen for quite sometime now, so I finally decided to do it. It's still a work in progress, but I did change some things. I couldn't give up my Mary Englebreit magazines, since it is out of publication now. They go back to 1997, but they still have good ideas in them. I also had to keep my Grandma's cookie jar. She always kept sugar cookies in there that she made for me and my sister after school. It still smells like them 30 years later! The rest of the items were from "shopping" around the house. Of course I had to get Hubby involved to drill me a hole for my house light. That came with the ususal eye roll along with a lecture about putting "another" hole in something. Why does he even bother......he knows how I am!
It is hard to part with all the decorating magazines isn't it? They do have great ideas! Your shelves looks great!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and your kind comment on our lighting and lamps. I just love em'.
Your White shelf is beautifully displayed.
I love the way you hung the little wreath in the center and the branches.
A wonderful MM Post!

Your shelves look great! I am laughing out loud just thinking about your husband rolling his eyes about the holes. My husband and I have a deal that I can move whatever I want, as long as I fix the previous holes first. HA! He even made me a tiny little touch up container of the main paint colors! Have a great week!
